Williams Risk Advisory
Clarity Under Pressure
Leadership and decision science for executives.
Built in operational policing. Delivered to organisations where the stakes are real.
Most leadership training teaches theory from case studies. Clarity Under Pressure teaches frameworks that were built under fire: in hostage negotiations, counter-terrorism operations, and decisions where the wrong call had consequences you could not undo.
The same cognitive tools that helped a senior police officer stay clear under extreme operational pressure translate directly to the pressure your executives face every day.
The Facilitator
Former Senior Police Detective. 21 years. Real decisions. Real consequences.
Jody Williams served 21 years in UK policing as a Senior Police Detective, covering serious crime, counter-terrorism, and hostage negotiation. He led national counter-terrorism training programmes and received the Chief Constable’s Commendation for innovation in training for crisis situations, including the Op Explorer initiative.
The frameworks taught in Clarity Under Pressure were not developed in a classroom. He now brings those frameworks to corporate leaders facing the same structural challenges: competing priorities, decisions without perfect information, and teams that need influencing rather than instructing.

What Changes
The framework operates across three dimensions of leadership
How You Think
The cognitive habits that create blind spots under pressure, and the investigative frameworks that bypass them. Pattern recognition, assumption testing, information triage.
How You Lead People
Influencing without authority. Gaining accurate intelligence from reluctant sources. Leading teams when the structure beneath you is broken or uncertain.
How You See Clearly
Situational awareness under cognitive load. Knowing what you don’t know. Designing your own personal decision-making framework you’ll still be using in ten years.
The Programme
Four formats. One framework.
Every format is built on the same operational foundation. The difference is depth and time.

What participants say
“Our executive team left with practical tools for crisis briefings and risk trade-offs, not theory. It changed how we run weekly decision meetings.”
Hope D.
“The policing analogies made complex decision frameworks instantly relatable. We now handle stakeholder pressure with much more composure and shared language.”
Programme participant
“The decision simulations were uncomfortably realistic in the best way. We discovered blind spots in our crisis plan before the next incident hit.”
